Board of Trustees
Those devoted to SNAP and it's mission
Kimberle Strasser
SNAP President
Kim knows first hand as a parent of a special needs adult, what an incredible asset SNAP is to Morristown and surrounding communities.
Her son was one of SNAP’s first participants back in 2009 and benefited greatly from attending weekly sports clinics. He is lucky enough to have a best friend who was his mentor at SNAP 11 years ago.

Driven by her desire to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with special needs, Kim’s dedication to inclusivity and community has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization into what it is today.
Pairing teenage volunteers with special needs participants to engage in sports and recreational activities has not only provided invaluable support and companionship to the participants but the mentors have also gained life-changing experiences themselves.
SNAP has empowered young adults to develop essential life skills such as empathy, patience, and leadership. By fostering meaningful connections and a sense of belonging, Kim has created a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals of all abilities can thrive.
When SNAP’s disability awareness training began in 2011, Kimberle became passionate about the program. After all, Kim had to halt her teaching career to provide round the clock care for her son with autism so having an opportunity to be in the classroom teaching topics like acceptance, awareness, and inclusion have become Kim’s life’s joy.
Receiving bachelor degrees in Education and Psychology from College of Saint Elizabeth and a Master of Arts from Kean College, Kim taught in New Providence School District: special education for 6 years and first grade for 2 years. Kim uses her teaching background and personal experiences to inspire kids to help others and embrace qualities that make us all unique.
In 2024, SNAP was transferred to Kim and she was more than excited to name her Board of Trustees: Noelle, Kylee, Gavin, Teddy, Alex, and Jeff who have all had a personal connection to SNAP and join Kim’s enthusiasm to growing SNAP and its community involvement.
Kim sees a bright future for SNAP and hopes the impact of SNAP’s work will be felt for years to come.
Kylee Strasser
Treasurer
Having grown up with an older brother with autism, Kylee has been immersed in the special needs community all of her life. Attending SNAP clinics with her brother, she herself became a mentor at age 10, and steadily increased her involvement as she aged. By her senior year of highschool, she was in charge of directing the weekly clinics, helping to encourage growth amongst the participants and mentors. During this time, she also took on a project that could work in tandem with SNAP, called “Peace for Parents”. This program created a zenful space across the hall for the participants’ primary caregivers, so they could rest while their child played.
After earning her bachelor's degree at Rutgers, studying Psychology and Women and Gender studies, she is now returning home to the SNAP community. She’s looking forward to using her newly gained knowledge and experience to help the organization continue to grow.
Gavin Frey
Board member
Gavin has been a part of SNAP for more than 5 years. Starting as a mentor, he connected with participants at weekly sports clinics in person prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. While online in 2020, Gavin helped oversee Zoom sports clinic sessions and also created many activities played throughout quarantine. He was also inspired to create a website, which SNAP desperately needed. By his sophomore year of high school, Gavin’s involvement with SNAP and this new website had earned him the Bronze, Silver, and Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award. Now as a college student and a member of the Board of Trustees, he looks to finish the project he set out to do almost 4 years ago.
Gavin is currently attending High Point University, studying Exercise Science and Psychology. He looks forward to how his website can help the overall growth and success of SNAP.
Teddy Frank
Board Member
Starting his work with SNAP as a sophomore in high school, Teddy became a mentor at 15 and has worked with SNAP for the last five years. Throughout his time with the organization, he contributed greatly during the Zoom meetings throughout the pandemic, and organized the first in-person meet-up after the COVID restrictions were lifted. Throughout his time with SNAP, he has developed amazing connections with the participants and worked with briefing new mentors as they entered the program.
He is currently in his third year of studies at the University of Florida, studying General Psychology and Statistics. He has meaningful leadership experience serving as the Agency Head of a service organization that has over 1000 volunteers and serves as a tour guide on his campus. With his love for SNAP and his leadership skills, he is ecstatic to be working to serve the organization and cannot wait to see what the future holds.
Alex Grayzel
Board Member
Alex Grayzel joined the SNAP community when he volunteered for his Bar Mitzvah project. He started mentoring for SNAP in 2017 and has been with the program for seven years. Throughout Alex’s time at SNAP, he has developed special events as well as provided support during the COVID era. Alex held a rock climbing/activities event at Lifetime Fitness that was funded completely by donations. He was awarded the bronze President’s Volunteer Service Award after the completion of the event. In addition, he was one of the mentors who helped transition SNAP into a COVID world allowing the sessions to be held online.
Alex is a sophomore biochemistry major at The University of Vermont. His future plans are to attend medical school in hopes of being a pediatrician. Alex is also an “Advocat” student admissions tour guide for UVM. Alex is excited to able to oversee the development of SNAP in the coming years.
Jeff Grayzel
Board Member
Jeff’s involvement with SNAP began 8 years ago when his son Alex began mentoring as a Mitzvah project. Realizing the positive impact SNAP had on his son, the students, and the community, Jeff has actively promoted SNAP’s mission in Morristown.
During the pandemic, Jeff facilitated a “Disability Awareness Training” for Morris Twp. residents. Done on zoom, SNAP mentors presented powerful information about a variety of disabilities empowering the learners with practical information.
Jeff and the Morris Twp. Committee recognized SNAP during autism awareness month and applauded SNAP for uniting teenagers with our special needs kids.
Jeff Grayzel is a familiar face in Morris Twp. He began his fourth 3-year term on the town council of Morris Township in 2023. He served as mayor of Morris Township in 2019 and 2021 where the title of “mayor” rotates from year to year amongst the council members.
Born in Englewood, NJ, Jeff moved to Morris Twp. in 1997 and has raised 2 sons who are now in college. In his community, Jeff coached both youth soccer and little league baseball, which his two sons played for many years.
Jeff had a lengthy career at Bristol-Myers Squibb with experience in system design, marketing, and international business development. He is currently president of a private medical device development firm.
He holds bachelor’s degrees in both economics and operations research from Cornell University and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Columbia University.
Jeff applies his engineering and analytical background to develop practical solutions and deliver results. Jeff is an ardent believer in transparency and inclusion, fostering dialogue with people
across the ideological spectrum by listening to their beliefs and concerns, and then working to deliver the best possible outcome for the entire community.
Jeff sits on the Board of Directors of the Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael and is a Founding Trustee of the Museum Of Makers + Innovators (MOMI), a start-up seeking to build a new children’s museum in New Jersey.
Additionally, Jeff is on the Advisory Council for the Great
Swamp Watershed Association, and is a member of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Jewish Federation Greater Metrowest NJ, and is proud to add “SNAP Board of Trustees” to his already impressive resume.
Noelle Albanito
Secretary
Noelle was introduced to SNAP when her oldest son, Thomas, was in third grade at Sussex Avenue School in Morristown. He came home with a SNAP certificate in his backpack and was proud to tell his mom that he got the recognition for sharing his lunch with a friend who forgot his lunchbox. The recognition of kindness was so energizing and contagious. He would run home from the bus to show his family his new SNAP certificates. Noelle is a believer that raising good humans is a primary job of families. When she saw the impact of how a simple act of recognizing kindness grew her son’s motivation to be more involved with helping others, she knew this was an organization she needed to get to know better.
Growing up in a small town and being part of a family business, she understood the power of connection and the importance of building relationships. From early in life, Noelle loved being able to help people which always opened up new ways of learning about people and situations that they need to navigate. When the opportunity presented itself to assist Kim Strasser with disability awareness training at school, she jumped on it.
When Thomas got to 5th grade, he was selected as a SNAP Ambassador, meaning he became a leader for kindness at his school and helped recognize students in the lower grades with SNAP certificates each month at an assembly. Noelle began creating the certificates and attending the assemblies to assist the ambassadors and lead the monthly recognitions of kindness.
Noelle is a very proud mom of three kids who are ambassadors of the SNAP message. Thomas is now in High School and a SNAP mentor at the weekly sports clinics. His brother and sister plan to follow in his footsteps. Noelle could not be more proud to be a Trustee of SNAP.
Noelle lives in Morristown with her husband, three kids and their sweet dog, Lucy. She has worked on the HR team at Verizon over the last 13 years in roles that have included strategic planning, training, HR Generalist and leadership. Prior to Verizon she worked for American Express and Cendant.
We truly appreciate any donation, in whatever form is accessible to you. Your contribution will help SNAP continue to touch the lives of countless families and children with special needs.
